I didn’t start yoga with any grand plan. it was just something I tried on a whim, a break from regular workouts. But somewhere along the way, it quietly became a part of me. Yoga helped me feel more at ease, more connected, and a little more like myself every day. It grew on me, slowly but surely, and before I knew it, I was all in.

One of the early influences on how I practice and teach was a teacher here in Chennai. Our relationship wasn’t formal or guru-like but he made yoga feel natural, grounded, and approachable. He taught in a way that made sense to me, and it helped shape my style: practical, rooted in tradition, and always open to exploration. That laid the foundation for how I share yoga now with a focus on technique, a scientific lens, and space for curiosity.

I trained in traditional Hatha Yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Madurai. Later, I got curious about other movement forms and healing practices so I trained in AcroYoga (through AcroYoga International), Thai Yoga Massage (at Sunshine Massage School in Thailand), and became a certified meditation facilitator through Osho International.

Before all this, I was working in design – my background is in Art and Design, with a Master’s from Stella Maris College. That creative lens still shows up in how I move and teach. AcroYoga especially brought that play and connection alive for me, and I’m currently the only internationally certified AcroYoga teacher in Chennai (for now!).

I started The Yogaspace to offer something simple but meaningful: a place where people could just show up, breathe, move, and feel a little more like themselves. Whether it’s through yoga, Acro, massage, or meditation.I hope you leave feeling a bit lighter and a bit more connected… to yourself and to life.
