Meet Shakti Shilpa,
The Heart Behind The Yogaspace
Shilpa’s journey with yoga began as an alternative to traditional workouts but soon became her life’s passion. A former jewelry designer with a Master’s in Fine Arts, she trained at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre before becoming Chennai’s only internationally certified AcroYoga instructor. She has also trained in Thai Yoga Massage and meditation, deepening her understanding of movement, trust, and healing.
As the founder of The Yogaspace, Shilpa creates a welcoming space for students to explore yoga beyond just postures—cultivating balance, awareness, and connection in every class.

Not at all! Flexibility and fitness are outcomes of yoga practice, not prerequisites. Our instructors specialize in providing modifications for all body types and fitness levels. We celebrate each individual’s unique journey and focus on personal progress.
